Our Model

    Blue Sky Fund will use our experiential education expertise to support the missions of local schools, faith-based, and community organizations whose goals target academic achievement, spiritual discovery, and/ or cross cultural leadership.

   We will transform our cities youth by challenging them to step outside not only their front door but themselves as well. We believe that outdoor experiences different from our normal routine help to inspire us and broaden our perspectives. Blue Sky Fund addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of at-risk students in the City of Richmond. In order to transform our city's challenged youth we invest in them through loving relationships. We overcome the debilitating effects of absentee parenthood, poverty, racial discrimination, and negative peer pressure by providing mentoring opportunities for students through outdoor based after-school programs and providing scholarships for summer camps. With Blue Sky Fund's help, our city's youth will see a part of Virginia and themselves that they otherwise would not see.  While in such natural beauty, these kids will also learn many skills necessary for a successful future.
