Blue Sky Fund Adopts a Sabbatical Policy for Employees

We are excited to announce that after twelve years at Blue Sky Fund, our Executive Director, Amanda Godbold Payne, will be taking a sabbatical from January 10th to April 7th, 2025. The Board of Directors recently adopted a sabbatical policy for eligible Blue Sky employees after ten years of employment. A sabbatical provides employees the opportunity to disengage from their duties for an extended length of time in order to give them the opportunity to pursue outside interests, develop new perspectives and knowledge, and to rest and recharge. Amanda is looking forward to traveling, pursuing outdoor adventures, taking an art class, and having more time with friends and family.

In Amanda’s absence, Blue Sky’s Programs Director, Josh Bearman, will be Acting Executive Director. Josh can be reached at josh@blueskyfund.org.
