Blue Sky aims to serve school-aged children, with a strategic focus on Richmond’s most underserved neighborhoods. We would love for every child across Richmond to experience our programs - check out active locations below, and if your kids do not attend any of these schools or programs, contact us to express interest in starting a new club.


Elementary School

We currently serve fourteen Richmond City Public Schools by providing outdoor field excursions to over 2,000 2nd-5th grade students every month.

99% of whom qualify as low-income. ONLY 3 of the 14 elementary schools we serve are fully accredited.

Middle School

We lead weekly adventure clubs at 8 sites, serving about 75 middle school students.

97% of whom qualify as low-income and many of whom live in the East End.

High School

We purposefully serve a very diverse group of 25+ students from ALL high schools across the region in our capstone leadership program - please apply today by filling out the nomination/application forms on the OLI program page.

70% of outdoor recreation participants in America are white.
